America's oldest and longest running celebration of its kind, takes over Hill street. The central Plaza will also host the LA Weekly Live Music Stage, a craft beer garden and the Far Bazaar.

Crying 4 Kafka
Called the pundits of punk by the LA Weekly, Crying 4 Kafka is a mythopoetic punk band dedicated to a creative vision that explores social and psychological insights, conveyed through the medium of quasi punk rock music.
Crying 4 Kafka has opened for Bad Religion, briefly toured with the Meat Puppets, composed a musical (The Saint of Fucked Up Karma) with Robin Finck of Nine Inch Nails. C4k has performed in clubs, art galleries, theaters, and warehouses, on top of a water tower and more, from Los Angeles, to Las Vegas, to Vancouver Canada

This is a free event and we ask that all participants bring 25 prints for trade and 4 prints for the house. Non LA residents are welcome to participate for a small mail in fee! Please get in touch if you wanna mail your prints in!
All print mediums and styles are acceptable. No prints larger than 18×24

We will be doing a live print demonstration on our 16×20″ etching press, please feel free to bring your Lino and woodcut blocks and get a print made!

Clive Matson, the last Original Beat w/ Cellist Gael Alcock , and Poets Joe Pasquale, Martine Algier and Julienne Johnson
Fresh from their recent performances at the symposium on Beat Poetry in Paris France, Clive brings the third part of his recent trilogy to the A.G. Geiger main room. Joined by his accomplished friends, this afternoon is a rare opportunity enjoy these unique artists and the pearls they drop from the seminal Beat Generation movement.
CLIVE MATSON began his career as a poet among the Beats in 1960s Greenwich Village. He was mentored and influenced by Allen Ginsberg, John Wieners, Diane di Prima and Herbert Huncke. He is the author of nine volumes of poetry and has been a creative writing teacher for 30 years.
GAEL ALCOCK cellist, has played in symphony orchestras, chamber music groups, world, folk, and jazz bands. Her interest in accompanying poets, dancers and live theater began at Bennington College, and continued in San Francisco in the '70s.
MARTINE ALGIER is a cultural catalyst with a background in theatre, transpersonal psychology and the healing arts. She is the instigator of mythopoetic events combining vocal play and intuitive movement to create a context for the emergence of creative fun & community building.
JOSEPH A. PASQUALE is an American author who writes in a variety of literary genres, including poetry, short story, film, novel and autobiographical fiction. His mentor is best-selling author Ken Eulo and Pasquale is also is an active playwright for Eulo’s New York Acting Ensemble in New York City.

This installment is themed "Touch of Evil" and features writers Grace Singh Smith, Eric Trules, Roger Taus & Lisa Segal. Also featuring an excerpt from a new play by Sharon Yablon, performed by Lisa Denke Littman, Gregory Littman, Jesse Fair & Meg Coffee. Music by Mason Summit.
