SUNDAY OCTOBER 21 1-7PM
This year’s fair has taken on a punkish hue and we are excited to announce a rocking lineup of programming to accompany a growing exhibitor list that includes Beyond Baroque, Hat & Beard Press, Honor Fraser, RE Search Publications, Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions (LACE), and Secret Headquarters.
We’re proud to present V. Vale, founder of the seminal punk chronicle Search and Destroy in an interview Chris D., punk poet, actor, filmmaker, best known as the lead singer and founder of LA punk rock/ deathgoth The Flesh Eaters.
Not quite so punk, but still a publishing rebel, J.C. Gabel, impressario of Hat & Beard Press will discuss his attack on publishing in the digital age.
LA art denizen, artist and film maker Stephen Seemayer will show and clips of his new film “Tales of the American”, about the American Hotel, the epicenter of the LA art scene in the 80’s/ 90’s including the influential musical mess that was Al’s Bar.
We’ve expanded the Zine section and will be presenting 2 teenage punk bands from the Antelope Valley to bleed all their x-burb angst all over the Chinatown Plaza. We’ve also just added local punks, Wallpose!
Its going to be a quite an afternoon. Come on down!
